Colorado Springs Hunts

The Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association's  April Foxhunt will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2005.

Starting location is the Holiday Inn Express parking lot on Fountain Blvd between Jet Wing and Powers Blvd. We will start at the West end of the lot. Sign ins will begin at 1:00PM. An information sheet will be handed out at 1:15PM. The fox will become radioactive at 1:30PM.

Please read and understand all instructions on the handout. No other information will be provided.

This hunt is open to anyone. You do not need to be an amateur radio operator or a member of the PPRAA to participate. No transmitting will be required to locate the fox. Therefore, no license is required.
Bring family, friends or anyone else that wants to have some fun. If you don't have locating equipment you will be teamed with someone who does.

There will be some easy walking near the end. As we anticipate several new hunters we have decreased the level of difficulty somewhat. It could still be slightly challenging.

After the event is finished we will gather at an eatery of the groups choice to tell stories about the hunt and award the "Foxy" trophy to the winner.
