Aspen Shots 2002

Here are three slideshows with some additional pictures.

The first slideshow was made with MySlideShow 2.0. It offers significantly better photo resolution.

The second slideshow was made with Adobe Premier Pro 1.5. The target media is DVD and so, it is a movie. In order to keep the size of the file down, I converted it to a WMV (from DV) with a fairly low bitrate. The advantage of the second show: it has much nicer transitions that are closely timed to the musical background and some panning a la "Ken Burns". How come he gets credit for something that has been going on since filmographers have been photographing stills? Well, perhaps it's cause he used the effect to bring so much life to what might have been a pretty boring video.

The third slideshow is a much higher rez version of the second version. In fact, it's almost DV quality. Windows media encoder is simply amazing. The 28 meg file was compressed from a 794 Meg master in full DV. And it looks very close.

bulletSlideshow ONLY for Windows PCs sorry
bulletA new Slideshow (5.3 Megs, WMV again)
bulletFor folks with a really fast broadband connection here is the slideshow immediately above but in pretty high resolution (28 Megs, WMV)

Looks like it's time to get out there and do some more "Colorful Colorado" photo trips.
